The Love Of God

1–2 minutes

I used to think God’s love was loud.

Big miracles. Big breakthroughs. Big moments that made you stop and say, “Ah, God is here.”

But I learned about the love of God on an ordinary Tuesday.

That morning didn’t come with answered prayers or dramatic signs. It came with disappointment. A door I hoped would open didn’t. A message I waited for never came. I remember sitting quietly, wondering if God was distant—or worse, silent.

And yet, somehow, I wasn’t alone.

In the middle of my questions, there was a strange peace. Not the kind that explains things, but the kind that stays when nothing makes sense. I felt held, even though nothing around me had changed. That was when it dawned on me: God’s love isn’t always found in what He fixes. Sometimes, it’s found in how He stays.

The Bible says, “Nothing can separate us from the love of God” (Romans 8:38–39). Not failure. Not doubt. Not waiting seasons. Not unanswered prayers. God’s love doesn’t withdraw when we fall short or when life feels unfair. It leans in.

God’s love looks like patience when we are slow to trust Him. It looks like mercy when we mess up again. It looks like quiet strength when we don’t have the words to pray. It’s not earned by performance or perfection—it’s given freely, consistently, and relentlessly.

Looking back, that ordinary Tuesday became sacred. Not because my situation changed, but because I realized something deeper had already been settled: I was loved. Fully. Permanently.

And maybe that’s the truest form of God’s love—not always dramatic, but always present. Not always loud, but always faithful.
